Bugs. Is there a really, i mean really good reason for their existence? Yeah, i know that they are food for certain animals, but still, i have never detest them as much as i do now. I've no idea what insect bit my hand and made it swollen, irritated, and bloated. I think i got the bite on Tuesday night while sleeping, 'cause i can actually remember me scratching my hand, but i was too lazy to get up and get the mopiko. The next day though, it didn't show any sign of strange swelling, just the usual red spot so i didn't actually make a big fuss of it. Thursday, the day of my music quiz, my hand was so bloated that my friend was so shocked (so was i, btw) that they all told me to go see the doc. And as usual, being the stubborn me, i said i didn't have time to go what with the craziness that happened this week. But, honestly, i don't think i could bear the long wait at the hallway of the clinic outside of INTI. I'm not a very patient person, you see. Anyway, i went back home yesterday and went to the clinic but there were a lot of people waiting, so i decided to go today of which i did like before 9.00 am after breakfast. The doctor said, i have a MILD allergic reaction to the insect bite. MILD? Was he freaking serious? I can't even stretch my hand without feeling pain. If that's mild, i wonder what severe feels like. So here are the photos that i took of my left hand (the one that the bloody bug bite) and my right hand. I'm going to juxtapose them for compare and contrast purposes...hehe.
The two prominant redness spots are the sites of the bite i think. The swelling was near the elbow until the wrist. Notice that my veins are not visible in the left photo while in the right one, the veins at my wrist is pretty clear. The doc should have seen my hand last Thursday, then maybe he'll make a more accurate diagnosis. Mild allergic reaction. Yeah, sure.
